About Uncle Landscaping

By late October the maples along the Brookville roads have thrown most of what they had, and every lawn nearby is wearing an inch of somebody else's tree. Uncle Landscaping clears it — leaves gathered and hauled off, beds cut back and edged, a final mow that leaves the turf short enough to come through winter clean. It is loud, dusty work that ends in a kind of stillness: a yard raked out, borders sharp, the ground visible again. Fresh mulch on a bed in November looks nearly as good as it does in May. And in April the grass returns on ground that was never left to smother.
