Owego's older name is often given as the place where the valley widens, and you feel the truth of that every spring when the light comes back across the flats all at once. Tioga Gardens works the lawns of that valley — mowing, trimming, edging along walks and bed lines, and the cleanup rounds that open the season in April and close it out in November.
