About Southern Tier Landscaping & Excavating

The ground under Owego is glacier work — gravel, silt and stone dropped into a valley the ice cut wide. Southern Tier Landscaping & Excavating tends the lawns sitting on top of it, mowing to a set schedule, trimming tight to stone walls and posts, edging beds and walks, and clearing the yard at both ends of the growing year. August is when thin soil over gravel shows its hand, the high spots fading first while the low ones stay dark; the cut goes up, and the lawn gets read rather than simply mown. Attention like that is invisible when it works, which is precisely the standard. The finished yard is even underfoot, defined at every border, and it holds together right through the dry weeks.
