Cole's Property Maintenance

About Cole's Property Maintenance

Otsego Lake holds the cold long after the hills above it have given in, and the first squalls of the year come down the open water in grey curtains. Cole's Property Maintenance works those roads through the dark end of the night, so a driveway on the lake road is open and banked back clean before the coffee is poured. Snow here arrives sideways one week and in soft slow feet the next, and a plow has to answer both. There is a plain satisfaction in a driveway cut square to the pavement, the gravel left where it belongs, the walk treated down to a footing you can actually trust. When morning breaks over Glimmerglass and the world is white clear to the shoreline, the way out has already been made.
