About Monteverde Landscaping Inc.

Otisville keeps its lawns up on a shelf of high ground, where the Shawangunk foothills tip west toward the Neversink valley and the morning haze burns off late. Monteverde Landscaping Inc. works those yards through the growing months — mowing, trimming, edging, and the seasonal cleanups that ridge-country wind and hemlock shade make necessary. There is a particular satisfaction in a slope mowed in even bands, the grass laid one direction and then the other, holding the light. Cleanups come twice a year here: once when the ground finally dries out in spring, and once when the leaves come down all at once off the hills above the village. What gets left behind is simple and clear — clean lines along the walk, a lawn that reads as cared for from the road, and a yard ready for whatever the ridge sends next.
