Fairy Lawnmother

About Fairy Lawnmother

Dew on an Oswego lawn at six in the morning is silver, and it holds a mower's track like a signature. Fairy Lawnmother starts early on the west-side streets, mowing while the air is still cool and cutting the trim work close along steps, posts and garden beds. Edging turns a soft border into a drawn one, which is most of the difference between a mowed yard and a kept one. Spring and fall cleanups take care of the rest — the wet leaves, the winter debris, the corners everyone means to get to. By the time the neighborhood is properly awake, the work reads as if the grass simply grew that way.
