Mike's Mulching and More

About Mike's Mulching and More

There is one week in May when half of Orchard Park smells like shredded bark and the beds along Ellicott Road go from tired to deep brown overnight. Mike's Mulching and More lives for that week — mulching, mowing, trimming and the cleanups on either side of the season — then keeps the same properties through winter with a plow and a shovel. A fresh bed edge next to a cut lawn is a small thing that changes how an entire house reads from the street. In January the pleasure is plainer: a driveway open, a walk cleared, salt down ahead of the refreeze. Elma, Hamburg and East Aurora are a short run out from home.
