Ice going out of the river is the North Country's real new year, and in the week that follows, Ogdensburg lawns come back all at once — gray to green in a handful of warm days. Yard of Duty steps in for that first cut and stays on for the rest: mowing on a set schedule, trimming, edging along walks and drives, and cleanups in spring and again in fall. Out toward Lighthouse Point the April wind still carries an edge, but the grass pays it no mind and grows anyway. A yard kept on a proper rotation never has to be rescued, and that is the entire idea. Ogdensburg and the neighboring towns of Lisbon, Heuvelton, Morristown and Canton are covered.
