In North Norwich the Chenango River runs south through a valley that holds its morning fog until the sun clears the eastern hills. JKS Property Maintenance keeps the grass on that valley floor and up the slopes above it — mowing, trimming, edging along walks and drives, and the cleanups that open spring and close fall. There is a real satisfaction in the last pass of the mower, when the lines run parallel to Route 12 and every clipping has been blown back off the pavement. Summers here are long-lit and green enough to keep a machine busy; by mid-October the maples let go all at once and the leaves have to go somewhere. A yard should look tended when the truck pulls away, and that is the whole of the job.
