Stewardship maintenance

About Stewardship maintenance

North Hempstead sits on an old glacial ridge, where the land tilts down toward the harbor and nearly every lawn is a small slope with opinions of its own. Stewardship maintenance keeps those slopes green, with mowing, edging, trimming and seasonal cleanups on the blocks around Roslyn, Albertson and Searingtown. Mornings here start damp — the duck pond flat as glass, mist lifting out of the kettle hollows, the first mower lines drawn while the grass still holds the night's water. By afternoon the work reads plainly from the sidewalk: a clean border along the walk, clippings cleared, the turf running even all the way up over the rise. Autumn brings the leaf drop from the big oaks and spring brings the whole flush of growth at once, and both get the same steady attention. It is ordinary care, repeated on schedule, and it is what makes a street look looked-after.
