Maximum Gutters & More

About Maximum Gutters & More

At Olcott the pier goes white and the lake steams, and the wind that gathers out there reaches the rest of Newfane a few minutes later with its mind made up. Maximum Gutters & More meets it with a plow — driveways cleared, lots opened, walkways cut down to bare pavement so nobody has to guess where the step is. Between bands a strange blue quiet settles over Krull Park, and that is usually when the second pass gets made, because the first one never holds in this town. Deep January here rewards the crew that comes back. Clear pavement in the middle of all that white is a small, complete thing, and it is worth doing well.
