The first mow of the year always comes sooner than expected — one warm week in April and the grass around Algonquin Park is ankle-high and asking for it. Nelson Lawnmowing/Landscaping opens the season there: cleanup first, winter's debris raked out of the beds, then the cut, then the edges re-established along every walk and drive. From then on it is weekly — mowing, trimming, hedges kept in line, mulch laid dark around the shrubs, the concrete swept before the truck leaves. Fall means leaves gone and one last low pass before the cold settles for good. Newburgh lawns, from the first green of the year to the last.
