About Marcos Landscaping and Party Rentals

Newburgh gave the country Andrew Jackson Downing, the landscape designer whose name lives on in Downing Park, the Olmsted and Vaux green that spreads across the hill above the Hudson. Marcos Landscaping and Party Rentals carries a little of that spirit into everyday yards, with mowing, trimming and landscaping that make a lawn ready to be lived on. The business rents party gear too, and the two fit together naturally: a June backyard just cut, the fence line trimmed sharp, waiting for the tables to go up. Summer light lingers late and golden over the river here, and a groomed yard is where people gather to watch it fade. Soft grass underfoot, room for everyone, and a city of brick and steeples spread out below.
