Saturday morning down by the Newburgh waterfront the river moves slow and the day hasn't asked anything of anybody yet. Jorge Landscaping is already three yards in — mower running, edge cut along the sidewalk, trimmer working the fence corners, everything blown clean before the truck moves on. Beds are mulched in spring, hedges kept trimmed through summer, leaves gathered and hauled when the maples are done with them. The list is long and it gets finished, and the lawns show it in how even they look from the street. Newburgh and the towns around it, one yard at a time.
