About Joseph Bulfamante & Son Inc.

March in New Rochelle is two seasons arguing — a wet snow overnight along Paine Avenue, and by Thursday the same lawns steaming in the sun with crocuses coming up beside the old stone cottage. Joseph Bulfamante & Son Inc. is built for that argument. When the snow comes the plow goes out, the drives get opened and salted, the steps cleared before anybody has to guess where they are. When it lets go, the rakes come off the trailer: winter debris hauled out, beds cut back, the first mow set at the right height for cold ground. A property that gets both hands of the year from the same crew never has that neglected in-between look. The work runs the length of New Rochelle and out toward the neighboring villages, whatever the week happens to be doing.
