About JL Hernandez Landscaping Inc.

Where the Hutchinson River Parkway threads the north end of New Rochelle, the land lifts and the wind finds it, and January storms pile drifts against every north-facing driveway on the ridge. JL Hernandez Landscaping Inc. runs those nights with the blade down and the salt bucket full, working the steep aprons first because they ice hardest. A driveway opened wide enough for two cars, walks cut to the pavement, the mailbox left reachable — that is a night finished properly. By June the same trucks are on the same streets carrying mowers, and the yards get their weekly cut, their beds mulched, their hedges brought back into line. Two halves of one year, and the crew is on those blocks for both of them.
