About Community Tree Surgery Inc

Up in the Allegany County hills, New Hudson keeps its maples in long hedgerows between the hayfields, and late August turns them heavy and dark against an enormous sky. Community Tree Surgery Inc works this high, rolling country as a tree business that also tends the grass, from the porch steps out to the first line of trunks. The pleasure is in proportion: a yard mown low and even so the old trees rise out of it as if they had been placed there on purpose. Afternoon sun slants long across these ridges, and clipped lawn beneath a tended canopy holds that light beautifully. It is plain, steady work for a town where the land still looks like land.
