About Odin Excavating & Snowplowing Inc

February in the hills above Washington Mills is a study in white on white — banked driveways, a sky the color of a nickel, and a plow light swinging up somebody's grade. Odin Excavating & Snowplowing Inc works that hour, pushing back what the night dropped and squaring off the banks so the next storm has somewhere to go. Snow in this corner of Oneida County gets measured in feet by March, and the drives that stay open all winter are the ones somebody keeps after. Plowing, clearing, widening the piles back — finished before the first car needs to leave. New Hartford and the roads around it, up through Chadwicks and down into Utica.
