About Riverview Landscapes

The Wallkill runs north past Middletown, and in January the river goes slow and dark between white banks while the wind comes down the valley with nothing to slow it. Riverview Landscapes works against that wind — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling steps and walkways, spreading salt before an afternoon melt refreezes at dusk. Snow here can arrive as a fine dry sweep or a heavy overnight load, and each asks for something different. Reading the storm right is the craft; a clear drive at daybreak is the proof. That is the season's whole errand, and it is a good one.
