Main Street in Medina is built out of the village's own red sandstone, and on a cold morning that stone turns rose the moment the sun clears the rooflines. Home Town Lawn Care is usually finished by then — driveways opened, walks shoveled down to the surface, salt laid where the ice likes to sit, so the day can start on schedule. Come April the routes turn green and the mower comes out for weekly cuts, tidy edges, and cleanups hauled away at both ends of the season. There is a plain pleasure in a cleared drive at first light and a striped lawn at dusk, and they are the same job seen from opposite ends of the year.
