Marlboro looks out over the Hudson from the west bank, and on clear mornings the river throws a wide band of light back up the hillside. Day's Lawn and Handyman Services is at work in it — mowing, trimming, edging along drives and walks, clearing beds and gathering leaves when the season turns over. Yards here run steep toward the water and level out along the ridge roads, so no two lots mow quite the same. A tidy edge holds a slope together to the eye, and it is worth the extra minutes it takes. By the time the light goes gold over the river, the lawn is done and the walk is blown clean.
