By late November the boatyards along the creek fill with hulls in shrink wrap and Mamaroneck settles into its working-waterfront quiet. Roberto Capparelli Landscape Inc changes over with the town — mowers put away, plows mounted, driveways and walks opened through every storm that tracks up the Sound. Then the wrap comes off the boats, the grass starts, and the routes fill back in with mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups. Two seasons, one set of properties, and a memory for which yards flood and which drives glaze over. Grass or pavement underneath, the finished look is the same: sharp borders, nothing left behind.
