About Lenmax Lawn Care Services, LLC

The old Delaware & Hudson towpath still runs through Mamakating, and in April it thaws to mud, then greens over as if the canal boats went by last week. Spring is when Lenmax Lawn Care Services, LLC gets moving — clearing off the winter's litter of branches and matted leaves, then starting the mowing that will carry through to the frost. Around Phillipsport and Summitville the ground is stony and uneven where old locks and berms lie buried under the grass, so a good cut takes some reading of the land. Done right, the lawn holds a straight border along the drive and a soft, level surface out to the tree line. Old stonework and new grass — that contrast is a fair description of this whole valley.
