About Lyons Lawn Service

Fog sits on the canal until about eight most June mornings in Lyons, and a lawn cut before it lifts holds the dew in its stripes. Lyons Lawn Service runs the ordinary, necessary rounds of a Wayne County summer: mowing, string trimming, edging and cleanups, one property after another, from the village streets out to the roads that climb the ridges. Grass grows hard here through a wet spring and then asks for water by August, so no two weeks of the season look the same. The work rewards attention — a mower line kept straight along a fence, a trimmed base at every post and tree. By the last cut of October the yards look settled, ready to be left alone until spring.
