Chaumont Bay turns a hard, glassy blue in July, and the wind coming off it never entirely quits. In Lyme the soil is a thin blanket over limestone, so a lawn that looks lush has been worked for, and mowing means reading the ground before dropping the deck. J Gomez Landscaping Corp. cuts and trims those bay-country yards, hand-finishing where the rock comes up through the grass and edging the drives back to a clean margin. The reward is a lawn that holds its lines all week against lake air and bright sun. Work runs through Chaumont, Three Mile Bay and out toward Cape Vincent.
