Route 97 climbs to the Hawk's Nest above Lumberland, and from those curves the Delaware runs green the whole way down toward Pennsylvania. Elkins Lawn & Landscape keeps the lawns on the slopes below, mowing pitched yards and trimming around ledge and hemlock where the ground refuses to be flat. Grass out here has to be coaxed from a thin layer between rock and river, so the cut is judged by how even it looks from the driveway, not by how easy it was.
