About Valley Tree & Landscape Service Inc.

Some mornings the fog comes in off the ocean and sits on Long Beach until nine, and the lawns hold it in beads until the first mower breaks the surface. Valley Tree & Landscape Service Inc. starts in that hour — mowing, edging the walks and drives, trimming corners and fence lines, clearing the cuttings before moving on to the next block. Working a wet island morning takes a feel for the grass; cut it wrong in fog and it shows for a week. Cut it right and by noon, with the haze burned off near Lincoln Boulevard, the whole street looks combed. That is a fine thing to leave behind you.
