About A. L. Entities

Storms cross the ridges to the west and reach Lloyd after dark, whitening the orchard rows on the shoulder of Illinois Mountain and the long grade that drops toward the Hudson. A. L. Entities works the hours nobody sees: driveways plowed, parking lots opened, walkways shoveled and salted before the first cars head down 9W or over the bridge into Poughkeepsie. The pride is in a drive finished ahead of daylight — a clean cut at the garage door, banks pushed back far enough to take the next storm, the mailbox still standing. Ice mornings get sand; a wind that fills a driveway back in gets a second pass. Highland comes awake to bare pavement, and the day starts on time.
