Winter comes into Livonia sideways, in bands off Lake Ontario that thicken over the hills and unload on the roads above Conesus. Extreme Lawn Care and Landscaping is out ahead of the school buses on those mornings, plowing driveways, opening lots, shoveling and salting walks so the first step outside lands on pavement. Then the thaw takes the drifts down into the ditches, April greens the valley, and the same trucks come back with mowers and mulch. Spring cleanups strip the winter grit and matted leaves off a lawn; summer settles into weekly mowing, edged walks and beds kept clear. Two very different jobs on one route through town, and the properties along it show it in January as much as in July.
