About Michaels Lawn Services

South of the village the gorge opens at Devil's Hole, where the river throws spray up the rock wall and the wind comes over the rim with nothing to slow it. Michaels Lawn Services works the neighborhoods above that stretch: mowing and trimming on a set turn all summer, edging where lawn meets asphalt, clearing yards in spring and again once the leaves are down. Winter on the rim means ice as much as snow, so the plow clears drives and lots, walks get shoveled to bare surface, and salt goes down where shade holds a glaze until noon. The good part is the quiet afterward — the yard done, the drive open, the river still going about its business below. Careful work on a piece of ground the weather never leaves alone.
