About A-1 Land Care Inc

The escarpment runs across Lewiston like a long step in the land, and everything above it — the ridge farms, the orchard lots, the houses strung along Route 104 — catches the weather first. A-1 Land Care Inc works both halves of the year up there: mowing, trimming and edging from the first warm week until the maples turn, then plowing drives and lots, clearing walks and salting the ice that forms where the wind crosses open ground. Winter storms come off the lake with a lot of intention, and the measure of a night's work is a driveway open and gritted before the first car needs it. In summer the measure is simpler — a straight edge along the blacktop and a yard that looks finished from the road. Same ground, two different kinds of early morning.
