At Leeds the Catskill Creek slides under an old stone arch bridge, and the mountains put up their blue wall a few miles west. Every October those mountains send their leaves down in waves, and Baldwin's Outdoor Group LLC is there for it — mowing to the last week of the season, then raking, blowing and hauling until the lawn is bare and breathing again. A yard cleared before the first wet snow flattens everything comes back fast in April. There is something deeply satisfying about the final cut of the year, short and even, with the creek loud behind you. Spring finds those same lawns opened up, edged and mowed all over again.
