About Kowatch Landscaping

Morning reaches Hasbrouck Park a little before it finds the Rondout below, and by the time the mist lifts off the creek the first lawns of the day are already cut. Kowatch Landscaping keeps grass in Kingston on a rhythm the neighborhood can set a watch by — mowing, trimming, and edges run clean along the sidewalk seams. Ulster County soil grows fast through a wet May and slows to a crawl in an August dry spell, and the work bends to both. There is a plain satisfaction in a yard that reads as cared for from the street: stripes lying straight, clippings gone, the border between lawn and bed drawn like a pencil line. Around Kingston, Hurley and Lake Katrine, that is the whole of it — and it is enough.
