About Ross Contracting Corp

On a clear winter afternoon in Kinderhook you can see the Catskills lying blue and snowbound across the Hudson, which is usually a warning about what comes next. Ross Contracting Corp works ahead of that warning — plowing and clearing drives, yards and lots on the flats toward Stuyvesant, where the fields hand the wind straight to the road. The trick is timing: start too early and you plow twice, start too late and you plow ice. A driveway squared off to its edges at dawn is a small and complete piece of work. Kinderhook is moving again while the mountains still stand white on the far bank.
