About Schutt's Saw & Mower Service Inc.

There is a day in April when Jamestown finally dries out, the last gray heap in the alley shrinks to nothing, and the first cut of the year fills a whole block with that smell. Schutt's Saw & Mower Service Inc. starts the season right there — mowing, trimming, edging, and the spring cleanup that clears whatever the thaw uncovered. A sharp blade is the difference between grass that is cut and grass that is torn, and it shows in the color of the lawn a week later. Through summer the routine holds: even height, clean borders, clippings dealt with. When the maples let go in the fall, the leaves get gathered and the yards are put to bed for the long Jamestown winter.
