Some June evenings you can hear a ball game carrying across the east side of Jamestown, and the whole neighborhood smells like cut grass. Jamestown Mowing & Services is part of that smell, mowing weekly, working the trimmer in around trees and posts and stoops, cutting a hard edge where lawn meets walk and driveway so the lines read straight from the street. Spring cleanups get a yard out from under winter; fall cleanups get the leaves gone before the ground turns hard. Then the season swings and the trucks go out with blades on the front, opening drives, shoveling walkways, salting where ice sets up overnight. Same streets either way, just a different hour to arrive.
