Crawford of Jamestown Snowplowing

About Crawford of Jamestown Snowplowing

Jamestown is built on grades, and a hill that is merely inconvenient in June turns serious under four inches of lake snow. Crawford of Jamestown Snowplowing takes the four o'clock shift on those climbs, blade down from driveway to street, the ridge at the apron pushed back so nobody has to run at it, then shovels the steps and walks and salts what the low sun will not reach. There is a specific pleasure in finishing a street before the first porch light comes on. By the time coffee is poured somewhere behind a window, the drive is open and the day can start on time.
