Route 366 runs northeast out of Ithaca through Varna, past the creek and the old mill sites, and frost sits in that low ground longer than anywhere else nearby. Regis's Lawn Care and Snow Removal keeps both halves of the year running along that corridor — mowing, trimming and edging when the grass is up, plowing and shoveling when it is not. Summer mornings begin with the mower already warm at seven; winter mornings begin much earlier and much darker, with a blade and a driveway that has to be open before somebody needs to leave. Both jobs get measured the same way, by whether the place looks and works right when the customer steps outside. Spring and fall cleanups fill the gaps in between.
