About Mix's Landscaping LLC

Late August on the Trumansburg Road: the hay is off, the light has gone honey-colored by six, and the long yards up there run right out to the field edge. Mix's Landscaping LLC mows that country and the streets of Ithaca below it — big open lawns, roadside banks, the trimmed border where mown grass meets whatever the farmer left standing. There is craft in a straight line drawn across a hundred feet of turf, and in a trimmed fence post that looks like nobody had to work at it. Spring and fall bring the cleanups, the raking and hauling that bookend a growing season. Between them it is steady mowing, week on week, from the first flush of green to the last.
