Mansaz

About Mansaz

Ithaca's streets climb hard out of the flats, up East Hill, South Hill and West Hill, and after a January storm those grades turn every driveway into a puzzle. Mansaz takes on that puzzle with snow removal across Ithaca, plowing out drives and clearing walks so tires and boots both find traction. On a slope the job is not only moving snow but moving it to the right place, downhill and away from spots where meltwater would run across the pavement and freeze by evening. Steps and the steepest stretches get de-icing so a winter morning doesn't begin with a slide. Up on the hill the streetlights are still burning, and the car is already free to head down into town.
