About Koda SiteWork

Cascadilla Creek comes down out of the hills in a staircase of shale ledges, and the stone path beside it climbs from downtown Ithaca toward the campus on the hill, every step fitted into the gorge wall. It is ground shaped with patience, and Koda SiteWork brings a similar respect for grade and order to Ithaca lawns. A sitework business reads a property from the soil up, where the water runs off and where the slope steepens, and the lawn care follows from that: mowing on a steady rhythm through the wet, fast-growing summers, with trimming and edging that leave walks and beds lined out true. In a town built on hills and water, a yard that sits easy on its slope is a small, real achievement. Late on a September afternoon, when the shadows slide down off the hill and the cut grass glows, the care shows in every line.
