About Herdez Lawn Care Corporation

By one o'clock on a July afternoon in Islip the air off the bay has gone heavy and still, and the work gets done anyway. Herdez Lawn Care Corporation runs the mid-summer weeks the way they have to be run — mowing on schedule, edging walks and drives, trimming fence lines and around the posts, keeping clippings off the concrete. Heat is hard on turf here, and a lawn cut at the right height on the right interval holds up far better than one cut whenever somebody gets to it. The crew finishes a property and looks back at it before loading up. Straight lines, clean corners, nothing left behind.
