About Aces Pro Lawn Care Inc.

Islip Terrace sits a few sandy miles north of the Great South Bay, and the grass here grows in soil that drains fast and dries faster. Aces Pro Lawn Care Inc. works these gridded streets through the long South Shore summer, when the mowers start early and the heat comes up off the pavement by ten. There is a particular satisfaction in the last pass of a mow — the lines laid straight, the trimmer taking the fence line clean, the walk blown bare. Come October the oak and maple leaves let go all at once, and the work moves through them block by block until every yard is open to the light again. It is ordinary work, done attentively, on the same streets week after week.
