Harvest Walk Lawn Aeration & Rolling

About Harvest Walk Lawn Aeration & Rolling

The ground under Irondequoit is glacial work — sand in one yard, heavy clay in the next, all of it dropped here by ice and shaped into low ridges. Every April the winter's frost heave leaves lawns lumpy and compacted, and that is where Harvest Walk Lawn Aeration & Rolling comes in. Core aeration opens the soil so water, air and roots can move again; rolling settles the surface back flat enough to walk and mow without stumbling. Timed for the damp weeks before the heat, the work sets a lawn up for everything the rest of the year asks of it. Come autumn the same treatment sends the turf into dormancy loose and breathing rather than packed tight.
