About Elegant Lawns & Landscaping

An October evening in Inwood turns the low sky over the Rockaway shore a long, cooling pink, and the mowers wind down a little earlier each week. Elegant Lawns & Landscaping keeps yards across this corner of Nassau County, from the blocks near Bayview Avenue out toward the Rockaway Turnpike. Weekly mowing, patient trimming and clean borders do most of the job; leaf cleanups do the rest once the first nor'easters start shaking the maples loose. Come spring the crew opens the lawns back up, pulling out the tangle that winter storms drove into the hedges and fence lines. Small properties, sea air, big wind — grass here asks for attention, and it shows plainly when it gets some.
