About Kiel's Tree Care

In Huntington the harbor pushes a finger of water down into the town, and from Heckscher Park the swans and the masts turn up in the same grey January light. Kiel's Tree Care works the north-shore yards where the bluff oaks and tulip trees are old and the wind off the Sound never quite lets up. Winter is pruning weather, the structure visible, the ground firm, each cut placed where the tree can close it over. Tree trimming keeps canopies off cedar-shingled roofs and out of the service lines along the shore roads, and tree removal is the last call for a leaner that has been giving warnings for a while. When a hard wind comes up the Sound and drops a canopy across a driveway, storm damage cleanup is what gets a household back out to the road.
