About Upstate Forestry Services

A storm ends over Hudson before you hear it end — the wind quits, the valley goes quiet, and the whole hill from the river to the top of town is one unbroken white grade. That silence is the start of the shift for Upstate Forestry Services: plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks and steps, sanding and salting the pitched stretches where a car would otherwise slide back toward the water. Hudson's streets fall toward the river, which makes traction the job itself rather than an afterthought. Pushing snow well also means knowing where to put it, so the next storm still has somewhere to go. Hudson and the neighboring Columbia County towns get cleared.
