East of the city the county goes to hedgerows — a fence line, a run of brush, then a field, then the next one, all the way to the Taconic ridge. Thomas Pest Services works the yards in between, keeping lawns on a regular cut, trimming out to the fence posts, edging drives and walks, and pulling the beds back into shape each spring. Summer is mowing and steady upkeep; October is leaves off the turf and a clean handoff into the cold. A lawn kept tight to its own borders reads as intentional, and that legibility is the whole point. The service runs out of Hudson into the towns around it.
