About Austin Lawn Co.

Hornellsville wraps around the Canisteo River valley, where everything is either headed down to the flats or climbing back out of them. Austin Lawn Co. works both directions, mowing, trimming and running seasonal cleanups while the valley is green, then plowing driveways, clearing walks and salting once the storms come up the river. Those valley-wall driveways are the real test in January: they hold shade, they hold ice, and they need to be scraped clean rather than merely pushed. In July the same properties want an even cut and a tight edge where the lawn meets the gravel. Rolling back toward Hornell at the end of either kind of day, it is easy to see what got done.
