About Marcony Tree Services Inc.

Hornell lies in the crook of the Canisteo valley with hills rising on every side, and the maples that gave the city its nickname still stand over the old railroad streets. Marcony Tree Services Inc. climbs those hillside yards in spring, when the sap is up and the valley fog burns off by nine. Pruning gets the winterkill out of a top; tree trimming pulls limbs back from the eaves of houses built close together on steep lots. Tree removal on a slope is slow, roped work, and the wood comes down precisely where it was meant to land. When a summer storm funnels down the valley and lays a tree across a driveway, storm damage cleanup has the street looking ordinary again by evening.
